"Christmas Once More in Hawai'i Nei" , Na Hoku
Hanohano Award nominee for 2006 Christmas CD
of the year, is now available. The title track has
been popular on Hawaiian radio stations for many
years and this recording celebrates the 20th
anniversary of the release of this song, written by
Gordon Okimoto and featuring Grammy
nominated and Hoku Award winner slack key artist
Kapono Beamer and multiple Hoku Award winner
Jerry Santos of Olomana.
The CD includes eight original compositions from
some of Hawaii's most talented local songwriters
as well as three well known Christmas standards.
Jerry Santos and Kapono Beamer are featured on
"Silent Night" and "A Christmas Lei of
Wildflowers", as well as the title track.
Robert Shinoda (Nueva Vida) produced and
arranged and I am accompanied by some of
Honolulu's most stellar musicians.
